King Bee have been busy during lock down bringing to life an extremely innovative mental health resource for children & teenagers. IHeart principles commissioned King Bee to produce a set of animated videos, interactive Google slides and resource sheets, jam-picked with cartoon creativity all the way. The power of animation to convey deep emotions has really helped develop the resource further and it is now being used by children, teenagers and educators globally (not just in Europe).
BRAND MASCOT DESIGN
We wanted the characters to be gender and culturally neutral, inspired by Mr Men, we started with lining up a variety of basic shapes incorporating the Iheart heart icon as a base. When these were developed into full colour designs they were sent to some focus groups and the feedback was very positive with character personalities reading well and often described as a family.
