Into the hoods

The producers of the successful musical "Into the Hoods" approached King Bee looking for an animation studio to create the animation to enhance their West End Musical.

King Bee won the pitch of designing and animating the key characters mating in a realistic 2D rotorscoped style. Since King Bee were recreating the live action footage to allow the musical to travel further in Europe, they required cutting edge animation to replace the footage.

The style of the character design was to be highly funky and reminiscent of gorillaz as well as the style of animation having a realistic and almost rotorscope or human side to the motion whilst having a surreal almost Tex Avery style to the motion in owest end musical animation studio ukther places.
